A Mangetout variety that can be eaten whole. easy to grow and delicious cooked or uncooked.
Sow the seeds in March - May.
The seeds should be sown in drills Appx 5 cm deep and Approx 3cm apart.
The addition of some support will be needed either in the form of pea netting or twigs.
Adding Organic matter to the soil prior to sowing will encourage better cropping as will Harvesting regularly.
This is a tall and prolific variety of mangetout which crops for a long time. We grew ours up 3' high wire mesh. The crop was excellent in taste and amount but the huge bonus was the mass of magnificent lilac/purple flowers that resembled sweetpeas. A definite for us for next year.
