Heuchera Firefly / Coral Bells flower / Perrenial
A super variety that was bread for its intense red coloured flowers, appx height 50cm. The small flowers are born on long stems and held high above the green leaves.
Sow the seeds under glass from April - July thinly in trays. This can be grown at any time of year but this period seems to give the best results.
Cover seed lightly with soil / compost and maintain a min temp of 12 Deg C.
The seeds need light to germinate so keep in a bright position, covering the seeds is not necessary but pressing them into the surface of the compost will aid germination.
Germination can take a 10 - 60 days and can be very erratic, if there is no sign of germination after 60 days place the tray in a fridge and for 4 weeks and then place in a warmer environment for a further 4 weeks.
Once germinated and plants are large enough to handle they can be potted on into 3 " pots prior to planting out the following Spring after all risk of frost has passed.
These plants will not require very much care. A little fertiliser every know and then and occasional watering will be ample
